Oboist Natasha Merchant is an active performer and pedagogue in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. She is Adjunct Professor of Oboe at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University and her Master’s degree from the University of Southern California. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of North Texas, where she is a teaching fellow in chamber music. Her primary teachers have been Linda Strommen, Allan Vogel, and James Ryon.

Natasha performs regularly with the Irving Symphony and the San Angelo Symphony. She has also performed with the Las Colinas Symphony, Amarillo Symphony, Dallas Opera, Dallas Chamber Symphony, Sherman Symphony, and the Ft. Wayne (IN) Philharmonic. An avid chamber musician, Ms. Merchant is a member of Astraios, a chamber music organization dedicated to audience outreach.
