Mezzo-soprano and native Canadian Avanti Dey is quickly becoming an audience go-to in North Texas with an exceptional range of roles both comic and dramatic. Avanti formally trained as a cognitive neuroscientist, but her lifelong passion for music has led her to appear in a variety of operatic roles in the North Texas region since relocating to Dallas in 2017. She has extensive choral experience, andi is also a composer for multiple instruments, and released Anachronism, her debut album of original piano compositions, in 2005. Avanti received her PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience from Washington University in St Louis in 2016.
